iXG Camera Solution

The iXG Camera System combines ease of use, phenomenal imaging capabilities, and robust construction to ensure precise recording of cultural heritage materials. The 100MP iXG camera delivers the highest resolution and flexibility, accommodating everything from large maps and drawings to smaller items like books and manuscripts. Its 4:3 sensor aspect ratio maximizes the capture area, making it ideal for a wide range of objects.

Designed for high-volume digitisation, the iXG Camera System provides a rapid and accurate imaging solution. Its industrial-grade build and industry-leading shutter durability contribute to a long service life, ensuring a substantial return on investment.

The RSP 2-Motion motorised reproduction stand allows both the camera and the object to be moved, and thus allows for the capture of a wide range of object sizes and resolutions. The Phase One iXG Camera System comes with a Schneider Kreuznach RS 72mm iXG lens, which allows both sharpness and detail to be maintained across the field of view.

Colour accuracy & detail

The 100-megapixel CMOS sensor, coupled with ICC profiles from Capture One CH, produces images with minimal noise, exceptional colour accuracy, and meticulous detail. This precision is vital for all cultural heritage applications. More information here.

Industrial durability

Constructed from aerial-grade aluminium, the iXG features high-quality mechanical and electronic components. The Reliance Shutter’s longevity offers a one million actuations guarantee. And with the iXG 100MP in electronic shutter mode, you benefit from an unlimited number of shutter actuations.

Integration with Capture One Cultural Heritage

The iXG’s integration with Capture One CH software streamlines workflows, offering full camera control, reliable performance, and advanced RAW conversion. The software’s tools for auto-cropping and aligning documents and books, along with automated workflows for negative film, significantly enhance efficiency.

Schneider Kreuznach optics

The iXG Camera System utilises integrated flat field optics with the 72mm and 120mm Schneider Kreuznach lenses, optimising it for flat copy work essential in libraries, archives, and universities. The lenses ensure high-quality resolution, flatness, sharpness, and colour uniformity for demanding reproduction tasks. Additionally, 21mm and 42mm extension tubes are available for high-resolution close-ups of small objects and film, crafted with the same precision as the camera body and lens.
