As most will already be aware, Canterbury Museum are embarking on a major redevelopment project and have begun dismantling and packing down its galleries this month for transfer to an offsite location. This is an exciting time and we would like to let our customers know that our team in Ōtautahi (who have resided in the Museum for over five and a half years) will also be moving to new premises this week!
While we will miss being part of the Museum’s lively atmosphere, we are looking forward to moving into our new, larger premises on Ferry Road —which are well suited to our mahi of digitising cultural heritage items!
“It’s been a real pleasure to work in the Museum over the past few years, and to be part of the vibrant and energetic cultural heritage centre. NZMS Christchurch have always felt part of the wider team at the Museum — and we are truly grateful for the friendly environment and support they provided.
“We are excited by the move and the new possibilities it brings, although we will miss working in close quarters with all the wonderful connections we have made over the years. However, I’m sure our relationship with the Museum will continue, albeit from a short distance! We wish the Museum all the best for their redevelopment project and future plans.”
– Stephen Hardman, Southern Regional Manager of NZMS.
NZMS’s new Ōtautahi office is modern, comfortable, and very secure! In time, we look forward to showing our customers the new space!
