New Premises

The company moved in stages over January and February culminating in the delicate operation of moving the microfilm cameras and our huge film processor up the road to its new darkroom. Our vault (a converted “reefer” shipping container) also made the trip having proved its worth as secure storage for the Digi Unit. Not such good news ...

Sadly, in the midst of so much positive change we have also felt the chill of the current economic climate. With many of our clients responding to uncertain times by deferring projects and tightening budgets, the flow of work has slowed and we have had to reduce our operations accordingly. A sad farewell

Tania Strauss joined NZMS in October 2006 as our second Manager of the Digi team. She inherited an operation that was still finding its feet and set about putting in place many of the processes and controls that have enabled us to move from a provisional footing to delivering complex digitisation projects on time. Training Partnership with Te Papa

On a happier note, NZMS has been asked by Te Papa National Services Te Paerangi to present a series of workshops around the country on Digitising Museum Collections.
